A two-car accident Wednesday evening at 8:17 PM on Hwy-68 sent three persons to Kingman Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.  Captain David Martin reports the two-car accident at Mile-Post 17.5 slowed eastbound traffic while Golden Valley Firefighter-Paramedics treated and assisted RMI with transport of the three victims.  The accident occurred when a Toyota reportedly traveling at the posted speed limit of 65 miles per hour was rear-ended by a Subaru wagon at speeds sufficient to cause significant damage to both vehicles. The husband and wife in the front vehicle were treated for neck and back injuries and the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended the Toyota was treated for neck injuries.  DPS and Golden Valley Fire units slowed traffic to approximately 25 MPH for about 30-minutes while patients were extricated and vehicles were removed.  Fire Chief Tom O’Donohue urges motorists to use extreme caution when approaching and passing accident scenes to avoid causing a secondary accident or striking emergency workers who are often forced to work in traffic lanes.
